FAQ

These are the most common questions about Rosterize. Push the '+' buttom to see the answer

What is your big idea?

We see a chance to democratize crew optimization for air fleet operators of any size and business models (commercial airlines, private fleet operators, cargo carriers) that is now available only for the largest operators.

The big tech idea is to create an AI-assisted tool to support all air fleet operators' needs cooperating in real-time with airport systems, aircraft flight control systems, and employees' digital assistants.

What resources are needed to implement?

The leading resource is the expert's attention from your side, who would provide feedback on results generated by the system and explain the FTL rules. The system is cloud-based, and only small integration and reporting server can be installed locally.

What other airline systems does it touch?

For most scenarios, the Crew Management system is the primary data source, but we usually start from the ssim file only.

Does your solution support scheduled operators?

Yes, it supports. We can provide specific capabilities based on the flight schedule, such as provable workforce calculation and optimal crew pairing generation (aka crew routes), crew assignment optimizations over the approved crew pairings

Would it support operators with more than 1000 crew members?

It depends on the time horizon you need to schedule and If it is possible to split the problem into independent sub-problems. The solution was developed to meet the requirements of small- and mid-sized airlines that operates a fleet of up to 50 tails

How do you handle crew qualifications?

We handle crew qualification in a pretty flexible way.

  • For instance, every pilot could be rated on an unlimited number of aircraft types, and for each kind, every pilot could be Captain, First Officer, or Captain "with a right seat".
  • The qualification could change depending on the period.
  • A list of supervisors could be assigned for a cadet to fly with.
  • Conservative and optimistic crew credentials.
Does your product support crew members from different bases?

Yes, the system supports multiple bases configuration. Crew members could be not only local based, but home-based as well

Is it easy to turn off?

Yep, according to our current offer, the customer to cancel the subscription at any time.

How long to turn on?

Our best result, for now, is in three days. Usually, it takes several weeks to prepare the system for a customer, and the longest part is the integration development.

What is Rosterize revenue model?

The monthly fee subscription is based on the number of tails under management.

Who do you compete with?

We have two kinds of competitors:

Brave software developers who underestimate the complexity of such a system and assume they can develop the system in a few months. Usually, they fail.

Scheduled flight operators (airlines, cargo carriers) - well-known providers do not care about crew optimization for airlines with fleets of less than 30 aircraft.
Charter operators (business aviation) - Rosterize is the only solution on the market. Some providers have tailor-made developed systems.

Why are you the best?

We do not follow the obsolete way of separating crew planning into siloed applications such as manpower, pairing, rostering, and tracking. Our system was designed as a holistic tool to meet small operators' requirements, such as a highly dynamic environment, lack of pilots, and a small crew planning team.

Also, our team has a kind of maths and optimization geniuses.
